Exploring L'Appartamento at Milan Design Week 2023

Welcome to Danielle’s journey through L’Appartamento in Milano

For Milan Design Week 2023, Artemest has unveiled a true masterpiece – L'Appartamento, a meticulously curated 1930s Milanese residence, transformed by six distinguished international interior design firms. Nestled in the heart of the vibrant 5Vie district, at Via Cesare Correnti 14, L'Appartamento serves as a magnificent canvas for these talented designers to express their unique creative visions while honoring Italian craftsmanship and design.

Among these visionaries is Miami-based Moniomi Design, a husband-and-wife duo I greatly admire. Monica Satayana and Ronald Alvarez are true color and pattern visionaries, and their distinctive aesthetic is a sight to behold.

As I stepped into L'Appartamento, I was immediately greeted by a breathtaking interplay of yellow and blue hues, diffused through beautifully crafted stained glass windows. Each space within this residence felt like a chapter in a design story. From the meticulously designed entryway by T.ZED Architects to the inviting living room envisioned by Kingston Lafferty Design, every corner exuded a unique charm.

The terrace, brought to life by MONIOMI Design, offered a serene escape, and the dining room curated by Nina Magon with its stunning yellow stripes on the walls and captivating artwork by Milena Sgamboto left a lasting impression. The cozy bedroom styled by Rabah Saeid, Founder of Styled Habitat, preserved a romantic ambiance with its eclectic furniture selection.

The hallway and studio, a harmonious blend of design, were the work of Anne-Sophie Pailleret, a Paris-based designer with an exceptional talent for balancing shapes and textures. The hallway featured Giovanni Boticelli Mirror Lamps that created a unique narrative, complemented by the textural Tra 1100 Wallpaper, entirely handcrafted by La Scala Milano Wallcovering.

What truly struck me was how this platform allowed each designer to showcase their design language using lighting and art sourced from Artemest's platform. As I roamed from space to space, I couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to call this magnificent place home. L'Appartamento at Milan Design Week 2023 was a design lover's dream come true, and I was ready to move in at a moment's notice.
